Tomb of Emperor Jingdi

Located in the north of Xi’an City, the Tomb of Emperor Jingdi has more than 2500 years of history which is now a museum with relics and antiques from the times of the Rule of Wen and Jing. Explore the tomb and learn about the history behind it and discover the exhibition of relics and ruins that are separated into two parts within the museum, the only underground mausoleum in China. Visitors can see the tomb to learn how the terracotta warriors evolved over time and during the changes in dynasties. There is an abundant of pottery figures and ornaments on display for visitors to observe to give an insight into the wealth and power of the Han Dynasty as well as many smaller warriors within the tomb: these are doll sized and don’t have any arms due to them being made of wood and eventually rotted away.

Tangbo Art Museum

The Tangbo Art Museum is located in Yanta District in Xi’an Province and is small but displays many traditional and modern arts. The museum consists of a traditional courtyard architecture with 6 exhibition halls that displays the customs, poets and poems, calligraphy and paintings. The artworks exhibited at this museum are mainly from the Tang Dynasty which are divided into three sections including: Chinese folk arts with farmer paintings, paper cuttings and facial masks, Chinese painting history exhibition and a cultural exchanging hall that gives local artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork.

Forest of Stone Steles Museum

The Forest of Stone Steles Museum is known as the largest “stone-book warehouse” which houses calligraphic arts that visitors can see to experience Chinese culture and the penmanship. Visitors have the opportunity to see the museum in three different sections including the Confucian Temple, Forest of Steles and the Lithography Room. There are more than 11 000 historical relics of Han, Wei, Sui, Tang, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties within the museum as well as 6 galleries, 7 showrooms and 8 stele pavilions open for exploration. The Confucian Temple houses architecture and buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasty style with grand arches, classic Pan-chi and the Gates of Lingxing and Ji. The Forest of Steles contains 7 showrooms with famous artworks from calligraphers of ancient China and the Lithography Room has a Stone Inscription of the mausoleum and Buddhist Statues.
