Casual and secluded beachfront dining takes centre stage at the Keyonna Beach Resort, with fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients being used to make fresh meals. The resort operates on a fully all-inclusive plan, meaning the rate you pay includes all food and drink. Organic cuisine with a Caribbean twist is prepared with food such as plantain, yams, green banana, fresh coconut and a range of Caribbean staples.

The food is sourced from local gardens and the resort tries to source as much as it can locally and sustainably. As well as main meals, fixed snacks are available throughout the day. Each meal is served by waiters at the restaurant, on the beach or at the beach bar. Room service is also available at an additional delivery charge.

The bar offers guests a choice of complimentary red, white and rose house wines as well as a selection of vintage wines and champagnes at an additional price. International and Caribbean spirits are also served at the bar as are beers and daily cocktail specials.

For an additional charge, guests can enjoy a romantic beach dinner at a privately set up Pergola with a dedicated waiter to cater to their needs. The menu differs from what is offered on the regular all-inclusive menus, making it far more special when dining with a loved one.

Guests can take a wide variety of tours and excursions on Antigua, discovering the many parts that make this location such a desired spot. Just a short taxi ride along the coast takes you to South Coast Horizons, where guests can snorkel and kayak through the protected mangroves out to Cades Reef. This beautiful coral reef is Antigua’s largest reef. Guests can also take walks through a palm tree garden where there are over 900 palms to relax under. Exotic birds are also kept in a purpose built aviary to admire.

Cades Reef has numerous dive spots to explore where guests can admire the large amount of coral. Marine life also swim around in this habitat and guests can swim alongside them. Moray Eels, Eagle Rays, Reef Sharks and far more species of fish call this spot home and anyone who dives and snorkels here is bound to witness one of the most beautiful spots on the island. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, all guests are welcome to experience the beauty of this reef.

Ten minutes from Keyonna Beach Resort guests can visit Rainforest Canopy and they can take unique eco-tours through the lush rainforests and try out a series of zip lines in excess of 200 and 300 feet high. Short trails can also be taken across suspension bridges and those looking for an adrenaline rush can try the ‘Leap of Faith’ 36 foot vertical drop.

Starting out on land amongst resident parrots and monkeys, a short speedboat ride will take you to a shallow pool with a white sand bottom surrounded by coral reef. Guests can touch and feed stingrays, snorkelling amongst bright coral reefs and schools of tropical fish.

Many hotels and resorts in Antigua have dedicated themselves to green tourism and sustainability practices, leading them to be identified as the Green Corridor. The ministry of tourism Antigua and Barbuda officially launched its Green Corridor sustainable tourism initiative to focus on key areas such as energy efficiency and use of renewable energy. Water consumption and waste disposal are all a part of the initiative as well.

Being a resort that only accepts a small capacity of guests at one time, it allows for food to be sourced incredibly sustainably and ethically. Fish is sourced locally by local fishermen and any fruits and vegetables served at the restaurant are grown in a local garden so that guests can be served the freshest of produce. This eliminates the need for plastic packaging and waste whilst also eliminates air miles associated with importing food.

The local community is supported by the hotel in employment as well as being able to make hand crafted furniture for each of the rooms and cottages at the resort.
