Rosewood Little Dix Bay

The two cottages lie within the charming resort gardens, beside footpaths that lead directly to the private beach. Each cottage consists of a light and airy room, featuring a soft king-size bed and a comfy lounge area. The cottages are spacious with modern furnishings and stylish interiors. The ocean view cottage sits beside a private patio with beautiful sea views, and the beachfront cottage is a hexagonal-shaped room that leads out to a private garden shower. Both rooms also include an en-suite bathroom with dual vanities and an indoor rain shower.

Each of the one-bedroom suites can cater for up to three guests (two adults and one child), and feature plenty of space in a light and airy environment. The suites all include large windows and sliding doors that will allow guests access to their charming outdoor living areas. Two of the suites lead onto hillside balconies and provide stunning views of the greenery which slopes down towards the clear ocean.

The poolside suites lead out to a patio with an outdoor shower and sea-view plunge pool. And lastly, the treehouse suite offers guests elevated views from its wrap-around terrace. Each of the suites is located within the gardens, and are designed to blend in to give each group a sense of privacy. From the comfort of your king-size bed, you will be able to watch programs on your flatscreen TV, and enjoy the stunning scenery. The suites also feature a bathroom as well as a comfy lounge/seated area.

The Rosewood Two Bedroom Suite is located right beside the beach, with a private patio that allows guests direct access. The master bedroom is furnished with a sprawling king-size bed with plush bedding, and the second bedroom is adaptable, containing either two queens or one king-size bed. The two bathrooms consist of double vanities, a giant bathtub and an indoor rain shower, in addition to the refreshing outdoor rain shower. This suite offers guests a home away from home, with a comfortable atmosphere and stunning ocean views. Snuggle up on the plush sofa and enjoy a movie on your flatscreen TV while listening to the sound of the waves.

Each of the villas at Rosewood Little Dix Bay features multiple rooms and can accommodate up to 4-8 guests. The villas offer a private and exclusive holiday experience, located on the hillside or beach, these houses are perfect for families and groups who want to spend time together while enjoying the beautiful scenery that Virgin Gorda has to offer. Columbus House is positioned right beside the beach and features two bedrooms, a full kitchen and an outdoor dining gazebo.

Laurance House has a third bedroom and a private pool in addition to the same features as Columbus House. Both Villa Joy and Villa Candor consist of 4 bedrooms, and can cater for up to eight guests. These two houses both have hillside views of the ocean and the bay, which can be best enjoyed from their balconies. All of the villas include flatscreen TVs, lounge areas and large bathrooms where bathrobes and slippers are provided for you.

Rosehill Little Dix Bay has a range of dining options for guests, including the Sugar Mill, a tapas bar that offers authentic Caribbean recipes to be enjoyed with cocktails and exclusive wines. Guests can enjoy local recipes, flavoursome cocktails and exclusive wines while surrounded by idyllic bay views.

The Pavilion specialises in slow-cooked comfort dishes of freshly caught seafood and meats. Enjoy locally sourced ingredients with different menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sit outside in the sunshine, or in the pleasant shade, and gaze out over the ocean.

Reef House prepares a range of exquisite vegetarian and contemporary dishes, which are rich in flavour. Enjoy a range of delicious salads, burgers, pasta and seafood dishes, prepared in a simple and comforting fashion. The Reef House bar also provides a range of tequilas, organic wines and rum cocktails, giving guests a laid-back buccaneer experience.

Guests can indulge in refreshing drinks from the resort’s Rum Room, an outdoor lounge where guests can order from a number of rare and aged rums, international wines and old fashioned cocktails. Beverages can also be delivered to your room, or enjoyed on the poolside terrace or even on the beach. There are weekly tasting sessions, where guests are encouraged to try various samples of exquisite rums.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay is home to 6 tennis courts and 2 pickleball courts, allowing guests to enjoy a few matches while surrounded by tropical plants and the lush hillsides. The tennis program caters to all skill levels and a resident professional is available to give private lessons. Tennis can be enjoyed throughout the day, and two of the courts are lit up in the evenings. The rackets and balls are provided.

Visit Virgin Gorda’s famous natural baths, formed by boulders that have been raised to the Earth’s surface by volcanic eruptions. Enjoy a relaxing soak and splash against the backdrop of the ocean, and finish off this soothing excursion by returning to Rosewood Little Dix Bay for a rejuvenating spa treatment.

Get closer to marine life and travel under the water to search for exciting creatures such as tarpon, parrotfish, triggerfish and squids. Glide through the water and enjoy this otherworldly environment. Guests can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the ocean. The clean and clear waters of Little Dix Bay offer great visibility, and lucky guests may even be able to spot a sea turtle.

Escape to the secluded beaches on Virgin Gorda that can only be accessed by sea, and enjoy a private beach trip. Lie back on the warm sand and listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. An umbrella and towels will be provided for you. Enjoy the tranquil sunset views and bring along a delicious picnic made by the resort’s chefs. Guests can take to the water for snorkelling and swimming, and the water taxi will be able to transport you to any beach of your choice.

Enjoy a calming yoga and meditation session beside the sea. The resort’s professional yoga instructor runs a number of sessions designed to give guests a soothing and relaxing experience. Unwind in one of a number of stunning vantage points that offer sweeping views of the bay and ocean.

Rosewood’s Explorers program is a selection of fun activities and workshops designed to entertain children and educate them about Caribbean culture and heritage. Each activity is designed to be age-appropriate and is led by the resort’s counsellors. Sent your little ones off on exciting nature walks and treasure hunts, or let them discover the joys of local storytelling, jewellery making and West Indian music. Children can also interact with nature with shell collecting and sandcastle competitions. The Rosewood Explorers program means that children can have fun while parents take some time to relax at the spa or snorkelling in the sea.

The Family Support Network (FSN) works to support and strengthen families in the British Virgin Islands. Their main aim is to prevent and protect victims of domestic violence, and they work to do so by raising awareness of dating and family violence within the BVI. FSN also provides victims of abuse with free confidential support. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the FSN has also been working to provide families facing financial hardship with food, clothes, mental health support and legal assistance.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay supports the FSN and the local community by working with in-house staff, therapists and charities to provide members of the local community with wellness experiences.

Rosewood built the K’iin Beh School in the Riviera Maya, an educational centre that provides education to both the hotel employees’ and local children.

‘Serving 200+ students in its inaugural year, this combined elementary-middle school offers bilingual, full-time education with the aim of combatting low literacy rates in southern Mexico.’

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts supports local communities in the areas in which they operate through fundraising, practical support and awareness initiatives for international education campaigns. One of these projects is Room to Read, which focuses on helping children from disadvantaged households to learn about literacy and gender equality.

‘Rosewood provides special support to Room to Read’s Girls’ Education Program by providing funds which enable 100 young women to continue their secondary school education in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The Girls’ Education Program reinforces girls’ commitment to their own education, works with them to develop essential life skills and increases support for girls’ education among their parents, school staff and communities.’

Rosewood’s Green Initiative was launched in 2010 and is focused on reducing waste so that they can minimise their environmental impact.

‘This initiative is designed to ensure a luxury level of hospitality whilst minimising environmental impact. Established around a sustainability-focused A Sense of Place philosophy, this commitment involves modifying supply chains to reduce waste, promoting conservation policies and educating associates on future-oriented business practice.’

Rosewood uses locally grown and sourced ingredients in order to support the local farmers and economy in the areas in which they operate. This also means that guests can enjoy fresh, seasonal food, and organic produce. Additionally, by using local ingredients, Rosewood is reducing its carbon emissions as food does not need to be imported from far away.

Rosewood Bermuda gives aid to the Living Reefs Foundation which works to conserve the aquatic ecosystem in Bermuda through removing plastic waste and helping to restore the coral reefs.

‘Helping to restore the growth of coral structures, remove plastic waste from endangered habitats and foster a healthy environment for polyp spawning, this initiative seeks to preserve the beauty of the island nation for generations to come.’
