The Captain’s Cabin is located at the front of the property, closest to the beach alongside the breakfast terrace. The Cabin comprises four rooms: a living room with two sofas which can be converted into beds for smaller children, the main bedroom with a double bed, a second small sitting room and a bathroom.

The white-washed walls and ceilings contrast the rich wood flooring and hand-carved furniture, with splashes of colour introduced through the soft furnishings on the built-in sofas, and cobalt blue chairs creating almost a  Mediterranean feel throughout the cabin.

The Captain’s Cabin is perfect for families and can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 younger children.

Chez Maggie offers two spacious split-level chalets both with whitewashed exteriors, rich red wood arched double doors and thatched roofs. The chalets are individually decorated, with unique printed soft furnishings and the downstairs living areas boast two large comfortable sofas that can be converted into extra beds, a hand-carved coffee table, writing desk and wardrobe, with a mezzanine style bedroom boasting a double canopied bed, which is accessible by a carved wood staircase.

Chalet 2 and Chalet 3 can each accommodate up to 4 guests.

Available as a spacious twin (or triple) with two separate rooms and a large bathroom, these individually appointed bungalows are located in the middle of the property overlooking the gardens. Both are built in a colonial style with carved wood detailing on the exterior, and wooden shutters. The bungalows comprise an entry veranda, a large bedroom with one double bed, a sitting area with lounge chairs and a smaller room with a large single (double) bed with: a writing table, small lounge chairs with a coffee table and a separate entrance.

Bungalows 4 & 5 can accommodate up to 3 guests.

Situated at the back of the property overlooking the swimming pool, Bungalows 7 & 8 spacious bungalows house two double beds and a large sitting area with two couches that be converted into extra beds for smaller children. The Bungalows are complete with a writing table, twin ceiling fans and a large bathroom with a shower.

Bungalow 9 is similarly appointed, but with one bedroom with a double bed, and is better suited to couples.

Situated on the upper floor of the main building above the kitchen, Room 10 is accessible by exterior wooden stairs. The Room has a large double bed with mosquito nets and a comfortable sitting area. The space is complete with a spacious bathroom with a shower and vanity unit.

Room 10 can accommodate up to 2 guests.

Built in the traditional Vezo/Sakalava style with vondro (reed) walls and mokoty (thatch) roofing, these unique bungalows are comfortable and picturesque. Each one is available as a twin, with 2 single beds, or as a double with a large double bed. The bungalows are furnished with custom bamboo pieces and are complete with full tile bathrooms with showers.

Bungalows 11, 12 and 14 can each accommodate up to 2 guests.

The rotating a la carte menus allow only the freshest and seasonal ingredients to be used, with seafood delivered daily by fishermen from Nosy Kely or Betania, and produce sourced from local growers. The a la carte menus ensure a minimising of food waste that is typically associated with buffet-style dining.

The full-service bar showcases a variety of local tipples alongside the region’s largest selection of imported whisky and scotch, perfect for enjoying as a sundowner whilst guests enjoy the view over the water.

Covering over 1,500 square kilometres, Tsingy de Bemahara National Park is one of Madagascar’s most unique national parks. The two limestone plateaus at the heart of the park are known as Great Tsingy and Little Tsingy, and the razor-sharp limestone spires and pinnacles are interspersed with areas of dry deciduous forest, savannah, lakes and mangroves, which create an astounding variety of habitats for the park’s flora and fauna to thrive in. The park is home to 11 different kinds of lemur, the western falanouc and the endangered leaf chameleon which only exists in Tsingy de Bemehara National Park.

The two limestone plateaus have created a fantasy landscape- thousands of limestone spires and pinnacles in a series of valleys and gorges- formed over 200 million years as the limestone plateaus have been eroded by groundwater. The needle-like structures were formed as the erosion happened both vertically and horizontally.

The dramatic topography of the park’s badlands means that the conventional jeep safaris are impossible. For this reason, the park remained largely unvisited by tourists until the late 1990s, when a network of aerial suspension bridges was built and made it possible for visitors to climb from one peak to the next. Today, several routes exist that can be explored with the help of a trained guide and a climbing harness. These trails are challenging in places and a head for heights and relatively good fitness levels are required.

The legacy of the dense forest that once covered Madagascar, the Boabab trees lining the dirt road affectionately known as Avenue du Boabab are over 2,800 years old. The trees create striking scenery, especially at sunset, but also play an important role in the region’s ecosystem and the mythology of its people.

Avenue du Baobab has been the centre of local conservation efforts and was granted temporary protected status in July 2007 by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests, the first step toward making it Madagascar’s first natural monument.
