At Knai Bang Chatt, all of their 18 rooms have been impeccably designed, with special attention placed on furniture, spacing and amenities. A driving force behind the clean lines and minimalist style of Knai Bang Chatt is the ancient Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, which places importance on rustic simplicity, understated elegance, and the inherent beauty of imperfection. Appreciation for the elements and the ingenuous integrity of natural objects can be found in the polished teak wood beds, natural earthy tones, and the resorts charmingly imperfect ceramic lamps and vases.

This unique open plan suite encompasses the entire second floor of the Brown Villa. Accessed through a spiral staircase, the suite contains a large sleeping area, a separate lounge area with chic and comfortable seating, a large Jacuzzi style bathtub, and a private terrace with spectacular views of the ocean.

The Seaview Double Rooms are the most popular five rooms on the property. All rooms capture a beautiful view of the sea and feature unique amenities from a private terrace to outdoor seating to a minibar.

Garden Double Rooms are spacious and set in the lush tropical gardens of our seaside property. Our nine unique Garden View double rooms offer a quiet and peaceful space. All Garden view rooms feature unique amenities including a minibar, and some rooms offer a private terrace and outdoor seating.

There are two twin rooms on the property, located on the first floor of our Villas. Each room features a cosy twin bed with access to a shared outdoor terrace looking onto the garden. The two twin rooms pair well with the resorts double rooms; ideal for larger parties or families.

The property has one single room, located on the first floor of the iconic Blue Villa. This cosy garden view room features a unique branching bathroom design.

Nestled in a serene corner of our resort, The Strand is Kep’s high-end restaurant. Knai Bang Chatt’s signature restaurant, The Strand, offers two fine dining with open views across the gulf of Siam. As Kep’s first high-end restaurant, The Strand serves regional dishes featuring fresh local produce and spices with an earth to plate concept, friendly and professional service in an elegant atmosphere.

Located adjacent to the resort is The Sailing Club Restaurant and The Lounge cocktail bar. The Sailing Club restaurant is set in a former fisherman’s cottage sitting directly over the sea and offer bistro style dining including an extensive menu of fresh local seafood and tasty western favourites. The Lounge is the idea venue to relax and take in a stunning Kep sunset and offers both classic and signature cocktails, exclusive wines and spirits, a selection of international beers along with some small tapas style plates. The Lounge is also the perfect later evening venue for a post dinner aperitif or night cap.

Soak up the sun in the resorts poolside bar. The bar and snack menu is available from 10:00-18:00, and will keep you hydrated and refreshed throughout the day.

All of the resorts private cooking & cocktail classes are easy to add on once you have secured your stay, or contact our executive chef to secure your private class. Cambodian cuisine is often overshadowed by the cuisine of its neighbours, Thailand and Vietnam. However, it is slowly rising to global prominence, as people discover its unique blends of spice, flavour and texture. The resort offers guests the chance to understand traditional cooking techniques and understand the deep history of Khmer cooking. The courses are led by the resorts experienced chefs. As well as cooking try a cocktail class, you will learn the tools of the trade, a history of the classics and why James Bond likes it shaken, not stirred, and most importantly you will learn how to compose a great cocktail. In 2017, Knai Bang Chatt established the first sailing club in Cambodia. The resort offers a variety of ways to get out on the water in a fashion that is sustainable and makes no impact on our local marine ecology. Their lead sailing instructor was trained and certified by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA).

Buddhism as a religion is accessible to everyone, and respects all living creatures. The owners of Knai Bang Chatt are devoted to community development of the nearby regions of the resort. The resorts charitable programme invest large amounts of money into improving education, health and livelihood across hundred of families in the neighbouring villages. In addition, Knai Bang Chatt has a profound ecological consciousness, embracing the concept of sustainability and environmentalism in their practices. “At Knai Bang Chatt we take sustainability seriously.
