Rincon del Socorro

Each of the 11 Lodge Rooms is located within the guest’s building and offers a secluded space to relax and unwind. Three of the rooms feature your choice of either two twins or a double bed as well as a cosy living room for soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and admiring the surrounding natural beauty.

There are also 2 rooms that can accommodate up to three people and the Ibera Ranch, located beside Mirinay Lagoon, which features 3 double/twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge with a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. All of the rooms lead out to a small terrace where guests can soak in the panoramic views and enjoy an Argentinian-style barbeque.

The indoor restaurant offers an escape from the warm sunshine, with large surrounding windows that still allow guests to view the beautiful gardens, scenery and wildlife while they dine. Guests can enjoy three delicious meals daily, consisting of local recipes and international dishes that cater to every palette. Glorious Argentinian barbeques are also available, as well as local wines from the lodge’s bar.

Breakfast typically consists of a buffet of yoghurt, cereals, homemade bread and jam, eggs, cold cuts, and pancakes. Choose all your favourites and craft the perfect meal to start your day! For lunch and dinner, guests can enjoy fresh pasta, salads, empanadas, and grilled chicken or fish, accompanied by fresh fruit from the lodge’s orchard and delicious vegetables grown in the organic garden.

Ostriches, foxes, capybaras, broket and marsh deer, and viscachas will be visible throughout the day, and as the sun descends in the golden sky, maned wolves and eagle owls will emerge. The diverse landscapes of the Ibera National Park create a haven for bird lovers, who will be able to find a wide array of species throughout the grasslands, forests and wetlands. Keep your eyes peeled for the strange-tailed tyrant, the yellow cardinal, the crowned eagle and jabiru as you wander through the beautiful grounds, and listen to their beautiful melodies.

Take a gentle stroll through this natural paradise that is the Ibera National Park and get up close to the incredible animals that have made the wetlands their home. You will be able to walk through a botanical paradise and admire the many plants that have thrived as a result of the rewilding project. Walks can be enjoyed with the company of a knowledgeable guide, or simply on your own with only the sounds of the wilderness.

With short grass and plenty of gravel roads, Rincon del Socorro is the perfect place for enjoying a bike ride through the grounds, and cyclists can explore the whole coast of the Ibera Wetlands via cycle paths.

For those hoping to explore the high grasslands and diverse landscapes, there is no better way than an adventure on horseback. Speed through the different terrains with your equine companion and enjoy the thrill of the wind in your hair as you race past abundant wildlife.

Sail across the Ibera Lagoon and get up close to the amazing floating islands, sculpted from many floating plants. Here, you will find caimans, marsh deer and an array of beautiful birds.

Guests can also explore the wetlands from the unique perspective of a kayak and venture across the reservoirs as they search for wildlife drinking beside the water, and listen to the gentle songs of the birds.

Learn about the transformation that took Rincon del Socorro from a cattle ranch to the heart of a massive rewilding project. Guests can enjoy a series of talks and videos with biologists and technicians from the Conservation Land Trust (CLT) team that explain the process of reintroducing local fauna as well as the history of the land.

The land that Rincon del Socorro is established on is managed by the Rewilding Experience, which is part of the Conservation Land Trust – a social enterprise that funds ecological restoration work in Argentina. Ecotourism supports the local economy and helps local communities to develop with activities that celebrate the native wildlife and landscapes. The restoration of the land supports the wildlife, economy and local people through ecotourism.
