For a trip beneath the waves to explore under the sea you can go snorkelling or diving.  Canoeing is also on offer for those who don’t want to get too wet, as is a glass bottom boat ride where you can see beneath the waves from the comfort of your seat. 

It’s a five minute walk to the swimming beach Mont Choisy where you can swim with turtles in the shallows. You can visit Trou aux Biches by pirogue, a traditional fishing boat, at sunset. Grand Baie  is 15 minutes by bike or by bus.
