Each of the two-bedroom villas rests at the centre of True Blue Bay Resort, offering beautiful bay views and close proximity to the beach pool. The villas are designed to be a warm and comfortable home away from home, with a cheerful colour scheme and unique specially commissioned furniture. Beautiful pieces of art are displayed on the walls, with subtle sculptures that add a sense of character. The villas consist of a master bedroom, a spacious second bedroom, a fully-equipped kitchen for whipping up delicious meals, a veranda and a private plunge pool – perfect for cooling off in the sunny weather. The villas can cater for up to 6 guests, with 2 sleeping on rollaway beds in the living room, and are perfect for families and small groups hoping to spend some quality time together.

Guests can choose from the romantic Tower Suites – with spiral staircases that lead to your own tower with panoramic ocean and resort views, Garden View Suites – set among tropical plants and luscious flowers, or Water Front Suites – with balconies that hang over the water’s edge, offering uninterrupted views of the crystal ocean.

Each of the suites includes an open-plan living and dining area, with a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious balcony. The suite bedrooms are located on the upper floor, with one wheelchair-adapted suite available. The bedrooms feature comfortable queen-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms with a relaxing shower. True Blue Bay’s Cocoa Pod Rooms are recently-built two-storey suites with an eco-conscious design and luxurious interior. Guests can relax on a soft king-sized bed with a pillow-top mattress, providing the utmost comfort for weary travellers. Downstairs, the open-plan living and dining area is light and airy, with a Caribbean chic design. A kitchenette is provided for snacks between dining at the many local restaurants, including True Blue Bay’s very own Dodgy Dock, and guests can unwind and relax in their spacious surroundings.

A romantic and secluded haven, the Honeybee Suite is perfect for couples looking for a private getaway. The suite can be accessed via a small bridge, and offers a breathtakingly beautiful waterfront view. The suite is accented with romantic motifs and elegant furnishings that provide the perfect setting for enjoying time with your significant other. The bedroom features an extra-large four-poster bed, and the en-suite bathroom contains a bathtub for two. The living room is spacious and has a romantic colour scheme, with a large sofa for cuddling up on, and a little kitchen for cooking your partner a delicious breakfast in bed. Honeybee’s verandah offers perhaps the best views of the Caribbean Sea, making this little paradise the ideal setting for honeymoons and celebrations.

The True Blue Style Rooms are situated beside the Bay View Pool, with a relaxing terrace space that overlooks the resort’s beautiful tropical gardens. Guests can choose between a king-sized bed or two twins, set in a light and airy bedroom with teak furnishings and neutral colours. Air-conditioning is provided to keep a comfortable climate, and guests can enjoy the use of the fully-equipped kitchenette and cable TV.

The Dodgy Dock Restaurant is a colourful ocean-facing location, with outdoor seating over the sparkling turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Guests can enjoy sitting out in the warm sunshine and taste delicious cuisine, spiced with the traditional flavours of Grenada, or Spice Island. Visitors can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner here, as well as indulgent treats from the on-site bakery and ice cream parlour.

Sweet and savoury options are available throughout the day, with breakfast starting at 7.30 am and dinner and live entertainment carrying on late into the night. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free alternatives are available and the restaurant also offers a 24-hour pizza service. On Fridays, guests can delight in the weekly Fiesta Menu, and Saturday night is BBQ night.

True Blue Bay holds two craft fairs each year at Christmas and Easter, which support local artists and crafters. The bazaars feature the work of approximately 60 local creators, who sell their work beside the lit up Dodgy Dock, with the festive atmosphere and backdrop of the ocean. Live music and family activities can also be enjoyed at the two bazaars, which are usually held on the second weekend of December, and Saturday of the Easter weekend.

At Truebluetique, the resort’s gift boutique, guests can buy gifts, crafts, local artisan-made body care products, local confectionery, snacks, and tropical resort wear year-round and basic toiletries.

Take a free daily shuttle to the beautiful beaches of Grenada. Guests can travel to Grand Anse beach, BBC beach or Pink Gin beach and enjoy a relaxing day of watersports, sunbathing, exploring caves and taking in the beautiful scenery, with the sounds of the gently crashing ocean to soothe you. Shuttle availability and departure times are available from the resort’s concierge.

True Blue Bay are part of Pack For a Purpose, an initiative that encourages guests to travel light and utilise their spare suitcase space to bring donations for worthy causes in the local community. Guests can choose to bring school supplies such as stationery, textbooks and sports equipment, or supplies for medical clinics. These donations will be delivered to the front desk, where they will be directly taken to have a positive impact. True Blue Bay is currently accepting school supplies to donate to the Vendome Primary School, which supports 100 local children aged 6-12. The school faced catastrophic damage after Hurricane Ivan.

True Blue Bay’s owner, Russ Fielden, volunteers at The Vendome School, teaching hospitality courses once a week. After seeing the destruction that had been inflicted in the wake of Hurricane Ivan, Fielden collaborated with guests and local businesses to raise around $93,000 to help with refurbishing and renovating the school building. Funds were also raised to create a library and provide books, computers and playground equipment. The resort continues to take donations for the school and contributes an additional 50 cents for every dollar raised.

Blue True Bay supports the Children’s Health Organisation Relief and Educational Services (CHORES) by providing complimentary accommodation for physicians and experts who donate their time to improve and monitor children’s health in Grenada. CHORES is a not-for-profit children’s health organisation which is based in Florida.

Queen Elizabeth’s Home is a sanctuary for orphaned, neglected and abused children in Grenada. The charity provides a safe home for children, and each year a Christmas party is held at True Blue Bay Resort for the home’s incredible staff and children. Staff and guests can join in, as children are given their own Christmas present and can enjoy a peaceful day playing and swimming, followed by a Christmas lunch.

True Blue Bay has been working alongside Grenada Chocolate Fest to raise money for a community library after The Grenada National Library suffered horrific damage during Hurricane Ivan’s rampage in 2004, forcing it to permanently close. The community library, opened in 2013 by writer Oonya Kempadoo, offers young people a space to study and learn, with books, a homework club and adult literacy courses. Through the available support, the library now has its own dedicated building and over 3,000 local children are benefitting from it. The community library gratefully accepts any books and monetary donations.

True Blue Bay hosts the annual Grenada Chocolate Festival, which supports local cocoa farmers in Grenada. The island is home to 5 chocolate factories that use locally grown cocoa beans to create their products. The resort supports farmers and has partnerships with a number of organic farmers who provide produce for the meals served at the Dodgy Dock. Guests can also take tours to learn more about the farming process.

True Blue Bay has implemented a number of policies to help reduce its impact on the environment. This includes the installation of solar panels which meet 30% of the resort’s electricity demand, and solar water heaters in all rooms and restaurant kitchens. Energy is conserved when possible, with only efficient air-conditioning units installed, and low energy light bulbs and fans throughout the resort, and the resort’s golf carts, used to transport guests and their luggage, are all electric. All rooms are also insulated to prevent them from losing heat or becoming warmer. These efforts reduce energy consumption and help to minimise the resort’s carbon footprint.

Additionally, True Blue Bay protects the local environment with the banning of harmful chemicals, preventing pollution. The resort uses biodegradable detergent and the pools are treated with saltwater rather than chlorine.

Water is conserved by collecting rainwater and storing it for use in the dry season, and recycled wastewater is used in the garden irrigation system. True Blue Bay also recycles paper and aluminium, with a recycling collection station on the property. Housekeeping uses reusable linen bags and no plastic liners are used in the resort’s bins, helping to reduce the use of single-use plastic. Additionally, paper bags are used at the resort’s boutique and all takeaway boxes and bags from the Dodgy Dock are also paper. All vegetable waste is composted and used as fertiliser for the resort’s gardens, where some of the restaurant’s vegetables and herbs are grown, and other food waste is given to local pig farmers as feed.

True Blue Bay organises regular beach clean-ups, which both staff and guests can attend, on a number of Grenada’s beaches, and both Magdalena and her daughter, Renatta, promote environmental issues with the local community concerning the welfare of whales and nature. Advertising and marketing are usually done online to reduce paper waste, and there is a Green Team staff group with at least one member of staff from each of the resort’s departments.
