The Courtyard Facing Rooms at Vineyard Hotel are each decorated with a modern style, featuring splashes of colour and sleek furnishings. The rooms consist of a huge king-size bed, fitted with soft sheets, plenty of pillows and a colourful blanket, a glass desk with powerpoints, comfy armchairs and large windows that overlook the shaded courtyard.

Each of the rooms features an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and bath. The bedrooms all include a flatscreen TV, hairdryer, complimentary tea & coffee making facilities and a safe for storing valuables.

The Courtyard Deluxe Rooms offer charming views and private patio access to Vineyard Hotel’s verdant tree-ferned gardens. The spacious bedrooms feature king-size or twin beds, fitted with soft linen and colourful blankets that match the tones of the room, as well as powerpoints beside the desk, comfy armchairs and a coffee table, and a flatscreen TV.

The bathrooms include both a bathtub and walk-in shower and have a modern finish. Outside you can enjoy relaxing on the patio’s seating area and admiring the lush greenery. Each room includes a hairdryer, complimentary tea & coffee making facilities and a safe for storing personal belongings.

The Mountain Facing Rooms at Vineyard Hotel at situated on the second and third floors, offering incredible views of the hotel’s gardens, with the slopes of Table Mountain as a backdrop. The Mountain Deluxe Rooms are larger than the mountain facing rooms, and include a private patio or balcony from which guests can take in the beautiful mountain scenery. Each of the rooms has been decorated with natural colours and consist of a huge king-size bed, fitted with soft sheets, plenty of pillows and colourful blankets, a desk with powerpoints, comfy armchairs and a flatscreen TV. The en-suite bathroom features both a walk-in shower and a bath.

As with the mountain facing rooms, a hairdryer, complimentary tea & coffee making facilities and a wall safe for storing valuables will all be provided.

The Junior Suites are located on the north side of the estate and offers sweeping views of the quiet gardens. Each of the suites is styled with modern decor, featuring metal beams and wooden floors and doors. The rooms feature a large bedroom with your choice of king-size or twin beds, a living room area with a Nespresso coffee machine, DVD player and flatscreen TV, and a deluxe bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub. Guests can enjoy spending time out of their private patio with elevated views of the tranquil garden.

The newly-designed Mountain Deluxe Suites are situated on the north side of the estate, offering incredible views over the gardens and mountains from their spacious balconies. The bedrooms include your choice of either a king-size or two twin beds, and the large living and dining area features surround windows and sliding doors that lead outside. This creates a bright and airy space where guests can relax and enjoy spending time with friends or loved ones.

The dining table seats six, and outdoors there is an additional table with chairs and sun longers giving you plenty of space to unwind both indoors and outside. The luxury bathroom includes complimentary pamper items and a separate bath and shower.

The Garden Suites are located by the riverside by the hotel’s spa. The garden suites include an open-plan bedroom with your choice of either a king-size or two twin beds and a large lounge area with a flatscreen TV, DVD player and tea and coffee making facilities.

The room is styled with rich colours and wooden furnishings that accent the natural landscape beyond the sliding glass doors that lead to the private patio. The deluxe bathroom includes complimentary pamper items, a hairdryer and a separate bath and shower.

Each of Vineyard Hotel’s six spacious apartments includes 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen to allow for self-catering, a dining area and a living room. This luxurious space is ideal for families of small groups who are looking for a home away from home. The perfect base for an extended stay in Cape Town, the sleek and modern kitchens feature polished chrome kettles and toasters, and the bedrooms include floor to ceiling windows that create a light and airy space for relaxation.

The three eco-friendly Deluxe Apartments feature key technologies to reduce water and electric consumption to meet Green Star building standards. Both of the two bedrooms have contemporary designs, flatscreen TVs and sliding doors that lead out to your private extended balcony with comfy outdoor seating, and both rooms feature their own en-suite bathrooms.

The living room area also includes armchairs and sofas, as well as an additional TV and another balcony space. From here, you can enjoy stunning views over the Liesbeek River and Table Mountain. The deluxe apartment also features a modern kitchenette with luxury, energy-efficient appliances.

The Restaurant at Vineyard Hotel offers both indoor and outdoor dining, depending on the weather. Guests can enjoy delicious meals throughout the day against the backdrop of the stunning Table Mountain. Some nights are speciality nights, such as Monday Night Pasta Special and Wednesday Burger Nights, where guests can choose to enjoy classic favourites from 5.30 pm onwards. The Restaurant also offers Mini Meals and a selection of drinks including tea, coffee, local wines and cocktails.

Vineyard Hotel’s Long Cafe is the perfect place to grab a comforting meal and a hot drink. Guests can order a range of freshly roasted and blended coffees, made with sustainable beans from a local supplier, and enjoy hot soup or delicious pastries in a tranquil and cosy setting.

Enjoy a light meal while admiring the beautiful slopes of Table Mountain at the Garden Lounge and Patio. This tranquil setting amongst the verdant gardens is the perfect place to refresh and collect yourself while eating delicious food and watching the resident tortoises wander along the sweeping lawns.

Offering a range of breakfast options, as well as snacks and light meals for later in the day, the Garden Lounge and Patio allows guests to bask in the sunshine and take in the picturesque scenery.

Enjoy a selection of sweet and savoury treats while sitting out in the lush gardens and admiring the magnificent flora. Guests can enjoy tea, coffee, champagne or chilled still/sparkling water while taking in the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Afternoon tea is served on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3.30 until 5.30 pm.

Vineyard Hotel has been home to a family of resident Mountain Tortoises since the 1980s. These adorable guests are the largest species of tortoise in Africa and can often be found wandering through the gardens, searching for flowers to nibble and basking in the sun. While the tortoises are docile and friendly, guests are asked not to touch them or attempt to pick them up, as this may cause stress to the tortoise.

The Constantia Winelands are less than an hour’s drive from the hotel, allowing guests to visit the Cape Dutch homesteads and vast wine farms that fill this picturesque valley. Guests can go on wine tours and explore The Josephine Mill where you can learn about the craft of brewing beer, as well as enjoy historical tours and beer tasting.

Just a short walk from the hotel is Claremont’s major shopping hub. Guests can enjoy browsing at the Cavendish retail centre where upmarket shops and designer brands can be found. Alternatively, Cape Town is home to a variety of shops and local businesses where you may find something more unique.

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens lies beside the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. The gardens include a variety of both temporary and permanent outdoor art pieces. Travellers can enjoy a peaceful stroll between the beautiful fynbos plants, which are unique to the Eastern Cape and Western Cape provinces of South Africa, and wander along the walkway which leads to the breathtaking canopy where guests can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the surrounding natural landscape and dense greenery. The curved steel and timber bridge is inspired by the skeleton of a snake and is referred to as the Boomslang, meaning tree snake.

The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is one of South Africa’s most visited destinations, bringing in approximately 24 million people each year. Resting in the Southern Hemisphere’s oldest working harbour, guests can enjoy incredible views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the picturesque city of Cape Town.

The waterfront features a range of shops, restaurants, leisure and entertainment facilities. The waterfront’s range of heritage sites and tourism landmarks offer a full day of activities and the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa hosts the world’s largest collection of African contemporary art.

The iconic Table Mountain is South Africa’s most photographed attraction, where over 2,200 species of plant and 1,470 types of flower thrive. Many of these plants are endemic to the mountain, earning this stunning oasis a position as one of the New 7 World Wonders.

Table Mountain is also home to a range of exciting wildlife including caracals, rock hyraxes and chacma baboons. Its flat peak stands at 1,086 metres above sea level, and with its proximity to the ocean, the towering mountain looks even more impressive as it looms over the city of Cape Town. Visitors can travel to the summit via cable car and enjoy breathtaking views of the city and coast.

Cape Point is famous as the site of many a shipwreck. The point’s treacherous rocks tore holes into a number of ships that still litter the coastline after straying too close during dark nights, thick fog and violent storms. The dangerous nature of the point earned it the title ‘Cape of Storms’ by Bartolomeu Dias in 1488. Eventually, in 1859, a lighthouse was erected which still stands today.

The beacon stands at 249 metres above sea level on the highest section of the peak and is used as the centralised monitoring point for all the lighthouses on the coast of South Africa. Guests can visit the building via the Flying Dutchman funicular. The ride takes approximately three minutes and is wheelchair accessible.

The Vineyard Hotel is a certified Fair Trade Tourism business and gives support to a number of organisations such as Bird Life SA which aims to protect the birds of South Africa, Eco Atlas and they has assisted the Table Mountain National Park in its efforts to clear alien vegetation. The hotel is also a founding member of the Event Greening Forum which promotes sustainable and ethical business practices.

Vineyard Hotel has implemented a number of sustainable initiatives in order to reduce its impact on the environment. The property use 80 solar panels which store power generated from the sun and reduce the carbon emissions generated by the hotel’s energy usage.

The hotel also uses sustainable and ethically produced goods whenever possible, and have a number of policies that help them to reduce their waste, water and energy usage. This includes harvesting greywater and recycling 83% of their waste.
