andBeyond Klein’s CampLuxury
Following breakfast, your guide will drive you to your next destination – andBeyond Klein’s Camp in the incredible Serengeti National Park.
Your cottage at Klein’s Camp is just one of ten – fashioned from local stone and makuti thatching. This camp is delightful in its simplicity and closeness to nature. The landscape flows through it, bringing herds of elephants and other animals easily within view, wherever in the camp you may be.
Klein’s Camp is set up to make the most of the beauty that surrounds it. Your guide will take you on both day and night game drives, the latter offering thrilling encounters with predators hunting under the cover of darkness and away from the daytime heat.
Guided bushwalks are also on offer, bringing guests closer to the land and the people who have walked it before them. Take in an early morning game drive and tasty breakfast before being driven to the airstrip for a flight to andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas. Serengeti Under Canvas is a particularly special safari camp, moving five times per year to track the great migration through the Serengeti. Your stay promises to take you as close as possible to the action as millions of wildebeest traverse the landscape in search of water and food.
Immerse yourself fully in the African bushveld in a luxurious tent with private butler service, chandeliers and silverware, en suite toilet and heated outdoor bucket showers. Custom rugs and comfortable beds add elegance, while recounting the day’s safari adventures beneath starry skies at the campfire makes for lifetime memories.
The great migration is an incredible phenomenon that sees nearly two million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra, gazelle and eland traverse the vast Serengeti and Masai Mara landscapes. This is truly something that has to be seen to be appreciated and is one of the experiences Africa offers that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Because of the unpredictability of the natural world, the migration rarely follows the same exact path and schedule as it did the year before. This is what makes the flexibility of andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas so valuable – it means being able to track the herds as they move and set up camp nearby. Camp locations also offer excellent local wildlife and depending on the location in the Serengeti, lion, rhino, elephant and leopard sightings are all possible.
