(B) Breakfast, (L) Lunch, (D) Dinner

Upon arrival in Yogyakarta airport, our local representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Begin your evening adventure as you are picked up from the lobby of your accommodation and driven to the major shopping street in Yogyakarta.

Our first stop is to try Sate Ayam – chicken meat skewer and quail egg with peanut sauce, soy and pepper powder. Walk along Maliboro street and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the city, as you head to a local coffee shop. Try Kopi Joss, a unique kind of coffee in where a chunk of burning coal is dropped into the black coffee and is kept for a while to get the desired turbidity and bitterness – watching the process of making Kopi Joss is exciting. Finish exploring Maliboro here where a local motorbike becak is waiting to take you to Jamu Ginggang, a famous herbal drink shop which maintains traditions dating back to the sixties. Now Jamu Ginggang is managed by the fifth generation who faithfully continue the family business. Head off on your becak as you travel to Alun Alun, one of the popular nightlife destinations in Yogyakarta. Make a stop en route to buy Klepon from a street vendor. Klepon are traditional green-coloured balls of rice cake filled with liquid palm sugar and coated grated coconut. After delighting in one of these native treats, move on the Alun Alun South Square and participate in local entertainment activities. Transfer back to your hotel and rest.
